Generative AI in Teaching I: Basic Critical Literacy and Foundations

Part I of an Introduction to Generative AI in Teaching Series.

This session introduces UMBC faculty to the basics of generative AI and its implications for teaching and learning. It focuses on AI literacy by examining what these tools are, what they can and cannot do, basic prompting, ethical and responsible use, and how they may impact classroom practice.
