UMBC students sought for LLM hallucination research project
Available to both undergraduate and graduate students
UMBC students studying Information Systems, Computer Science or Human-centered Computing are invited to join a research project exploring how users with different characteristics engage with Large Language Model (LLM) hallucinations—instances where LLMs, like ChatGPT, generate inaccurate or misleading information.
Supervised by UMBC faculty and funded by Cyber Pack Ventures, Inc. (CPVI) , students will design, develop, and test a prototype LLM, conduct an online user study, analyze study results and present findings. More details about this opportunity can be found here.
